Day 1 arrival Hoi'An
You arrive at the airport of Danang. You will be picked up and head towards the picturesque town of Hoi'An.
Day 2 Hoi'An
Today you have time to explore, shop, and eat in Hoi'an. It is the ideal place to get, for example, custom-made clothing, ceramics or beautiful accessories for the home. The old town is full of nice shops that all look so fun and tempting!

In Hoi'An you have to try Cao Lau, a noodle dish that is something between a noodle soup and a salad. The dish consists of hot wide flat noodles in a bowl of soup with a lot of green vegetables and raw herbs on top with a little meat, mostly pork. Or how about white rose dumplings, a steamed dumpling filled with pork and spices? Delicious! Of course, you can also choose to relax on the nearby Cua Dai beach or go cycling through the Vietnamese countryside. In Hoi'an itself you can visit several beautiful old houses, temples and pagodas. In some houses you can go inside and admire the traditional (Chinese-Vietnamese) architecture.
Day 3 Hoi'An
Today you have another day in Hoi'an. You can explore the town further or go to the beach. If you have come to appreciate the Vietnamese cuisine, we recommend that you take a cooking class to learn more about the delicious local cuisine full of fresh herbs, noodles, dumplings and fish. If you aren’t interested in cooking you could learn to make a lantern. You may also be interested in a tour to My Son where you will find magnificent temples from the Cham Empire.
Day 4 Hoi An - Kon Tum / visit Bahnar villages
From the picturesque Hoi'An you head into the interior of the country. You follow some of the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail, roughly the route along highway 14. The forces of Ho Chi Minh were supplied via this Ho Chi Minh trail (actually an entire system of routes between the Laotian border the Vietnamese inlands). In the area there are still many memories of the Vietnam War. With a beautiful mountain setting you’ll drive to the rural town of Kon Tum. In the central highlands you will find villages of the various hill tribes. The Bahnar Kon Tum live in traditional villages that center on the typical communal houses, the rong houses. The houses stand on stilts to protect people and furniture from wild animals like tigers. Close to Kon Tum there are several villages to visit.
Day 5 Kon Tum – Lak Lake
Today you travel along the border and go down to Pleiku, a strategic location during the Vietnam War. The Jarai people live in this area. They bury their dead in a very different way, by creating a large-scale dig that is almost like a small village. After Pleiku you continue through the green hills to the city Buna Ma Thot. Finally, you arrive at Lak Lake. Here you can ride on the back of an elephant through the shallows of the lake.
Day 6 Lak Lake - Dalat
After breakfast you travel further into the central highlands. The last leg of the journey you go uphill and you suddenly see only conifers, it gets cooler, and you are in Dalat.   Dalat is the main town in the central highlands. It is a city where the memory of the French past can be seen everywhere. About 30 different tribes of "montagnards" live in this area. You can see several museums, temples, and pagodas, and admire old French Catholic churches. Be sure to stroll through the colorful market.
Day 7 Dalat
After breakfast you will be picked up for an excursion to the impressive Elephant Falls. You can climb all the way to the top of the waterfall. You also will visit a coffee plantation and see how they make rice wine. Your final stop will be a visit to the summer palace of the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai.

Day 8 Dalat - Cat Tien National Park
Today brings you through the southern central highlands. Slowly but surely you leave the mountains behind you. In this lower area you will stop in the Cat Tien National Park. This is one of the largest nature reserves in Vietnam and consists mainly of jungle areas. There are many tropical bird species and the park is excellent for taking beautiful hikes. At the guesthouse where you stay you can choose how you want to explore the park. They offer various hikes (including three hours to Crocodile Lake), bird tours and tours in a truck.
Day 9 Cat Tien National park
You have the whole day to explore the park. In the evening you can take a night safari.
Day 10 Cat Tien - Ho Chi Minh
Today you drive six hours to Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon.

Today you can explore the city. You can walk by yourself or book our city tour with a guide. Stroll through the Dong Khoi (Rue Catinat), to the Town's Theatre, the Rex Hotel, the town hall and the Notre Dam Cathedral. Or go on a visit to the lively and bustling Cholon, the famous Chinese district with colorful temples filled with smoking incense spirals. You can also choose to leave the city and visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and the temple of Tay Ninh.
Day 12 Ho Chi Minh
